dc.description.otherThe importance of higher education to sustainable development has been emphasized in several world meetings and declarations. However, to integrate only content on sustainability seems not to be effective. By effectiveness, we mean that students will learn how to deal with environmental, social and economic problems in their real-life context, especially in the decision-making process. We believe that the teaching method, that would positively influence the learning process, should be based on Action Learning. Thus, the purpose of this article is to explore sustainability education method through a case study involving qualitative research method and exploratory quantitative analysis. The study was conducted in Insper ? a Brazilian higher education Institution ? in the Administration course in 2018. The theoretical review on Sustainability Education and Action Learning methods provided foundation for the development of this research. The following paper is an attempt to explore how management education can embed sustainability throughout the 5th semester of the business course with students playing an active role in moving the Sustainable Development Goals forward. Findings suggest that the Action learning method can be more effective in terms of developing sustainability capabilities that can be used in real life decision making.pt_BR
