Abstract

Este projeto de pesquisa propõe uma síntese abrangente das principais descobertas na literatura acadêmica sobre o impacto das fake news em redes sociais no contexto de eleições presidenciais, com foco nas eleições brasileiras de 2022. Busca-se oferecer um panorama descritivo dos eventos juridicamente relevantes relacionados à disseminação e consumo de desinformação, adotando uma abordagem de mapeamento devido à natureza recente do tema e à limitada produção disponível. Para esse compilado, foi realizado um levantamento das publicações e produções acadêmicas que abordam o tema, além da análise de matérias jornalísticas, artigos de reportagem e normativas. A perspectiva jurídica enriquece a compreensão ao analisar os fatos não apenas pelas narrativas superficiais, mas também considerando implicações e desdobramentos legais. Inicialmente, observou-se uma incapacidade de abordar as principais publicações e autores sobre o assunto, o que reflete a novidade do tema.

This research project proposes a broad synthesis of the main discoveries in the academic literature about the impact of fake news in social media in the context of presidential elections, with a focus on the Brazilian 2022 elections. The objective is to offer a descriptive outlook of the legally relevant events related to disinformation consumption and dissemination, adopting an approach of mapping the literature due to the recent nature of the theme and the limited available production. For this compilation, a survey of academic publications and productions addressing the theme was conducted, in addition to the analysis of journalistic articles and news reports. The legal perspective enriches the comprehension of the theme by analyzing the facts not only by its superficial narratives, but also by considering legal implications and legal aftermath. Initially, it was observed an inability to address the main publications and authors on the subject, which reflects the novelty of the topic.
