| dc.description.abstract | A sociedade moderna abriu espaço para que outras formas de estrutura familiar que não a tradicional formação - pai e mãe juntos - pudessem coexistir: pais e mães solteiros ou com outros cônjuges que não o pai/mãe da criança/adolescente. Esta mudança na dinâmica familiar impacta a formação de crianças e jovens, e entender como se dão as interações com outros fatores, como sexo, raça, localização da residência, região e renda pode ajudar a direcionar ações e políticas que se contraponham aos percalços e condições contrárias à conclusão do ensino fundamental e médio. Assim, o presente estudo buscou analisar as influências que as diferentes composições familiares, bem como outros fatores influenciam na conclusão do ensino fundamental e transição pelo médio dos adolescentes entre 15 e 18 anos no Brasil e a evolução deste quadro ao longo de dezessete anos. Para tanto foram utilizados dados extraídos da PNAD e PNAD contínua do site do IBGE dos anos de 2002, 2012 e 2019; e o que se concluiu é que adolescentes que moram com ambos os pais possuem probabilidades maiores de sucesso educacional (no sentido aqui estudado) do que aqueles que vivem em famílias com outra composição parental; seguido de adolescentes que vivem apenas com a mãe, adolescentes que vivem com a mãe/pai e cônjuge e, por último, aqueles que vivem apenas com o pai. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.other | Modern society has made it possible for other parental structure compositions - besides the traditional mother and father living together - to coexist, such as single parenting or parents living with another partner than their children’s biological mother or father. This change in family dynamics impacts the development of children and teenagers, and understanding how these interactions go along with other factors, such as gender, ethnicity, residence location, geographic region and income, allow us to establish guiding actions and policies in order to dodge the pitfalls and conditions contrary to the conclusion of primary and secondary education. Thus, this study analyzed the influences of different family compositions, as well as other factors, and their impact on the conclusion of primary education and transition to secondary education of adolescents with ages between 15 to 18 in Brazil and their evolution over 17 years. To support the analysis, data were extracted from PNAD and PNAD-C on IBGE’s website from the years of 2002, 2012 and 2019; and the conclusion is that adolescents who live with both biological parents have more probability of educational attainment (in the sense here studied) than those living in families with any other parental composition; followed by adolescents that live with only their mother, adolescents that live with their mother/father and stepmother/stepfather; and last, adolescents who live with their father. | pt_BR |
