Resumo
A atual dependência do petróleo em nossa sociedade é algo notório e
preocupante. Ao longo dos últimos anos as preocupações ambientais vieram
ganhando forças com regulamentações e pressões sociais exigindo maiores
controles, de tal forma que geraram impactos sobre as decisões de investimentos na
matriz energética, principalmente sobre fontes não renováveis. Nessa lógica, o
objetivo desse trabalho é explorar o comportamento futuro do consumo e da produção
de petróleo no Brasil, por meio da análise de séries temporais com periodicidade
mensal via métodos quantitativos adequados, sendo SARIMA (p, d, q) (P, D, Q) e
ARMA (p, d), juntamente com as devidas previsões de cada modelo. Assim, é
esperado encontrar em períodos futuros evidências de um menor nível de consumo e
produção diante de tais preocupações ambientais. Com isso, espera-se entender
melhor o comportamento desse setor mega relevante para a economia brasileira.
The current dependence on oil in our society is notorious and worrying. Over the last few years, environmental concerns have been gaining strength with regulations and social pressure demanding greater controls, in such a way that they have had impacts on investment decisions in the energy matrix, mainly on non-renewable sources. In this logic, the objective of this work is to explore the future behavior of oil consumption and production in Brazil, through the analysis of time series with monthly periodicity via adequate quantitative methods, being SARIMA (p, d, q) (P, D, Q) and ARMA (p, d), together with the appropriate predictions of each model. Thus, it is expected to find in future periods evidence of a lower level of consumption and production in the face of such environmental concerns. With this, it is expected to better understand the behavior of this mega-relevant sector for the Brazilian economy.
