O Papel das Instituições no Crescimento Econômico do Japão Pós 2ª Guerra Mundial

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa o papel das instituições no crescimento econômico do Japão no período conhecido como “milagre econômico japonês”. A partir da teoria de instituições de Acemoglu e Robinson e do conceito de Path Dependece de Douglass North, busca-se compreender como a combinação entre reformas institucionais internas e apoio externo, dos Estados Unidos, moldou um ambiente favorável ao desenvolvimento sustentável. O estudo adota metodologia mista, juntando uma análise qualitativa com dados quantitativos que demonstram a mudança estrutural da economia japonesa.This study analyzes the role of institutions in Japan's economic growth during the period known as the “Japanese economic miracle.” Based on the institutional theory of Acemoglu and Robinson and the concept of path dependence by Douglass North, it seeks to understand how the combination of internal institutional reforms and external support from the United States shaped an environment conducive to sustainable development. The study adopts a mixed methodology, combining qualitative analysis with quantitative data that illustrate the structural transformation of the Japanese economy.
